Frontier Lodge Christian Youth Camp

Frontier Lodge is a Christian youth summer camp. Their website was in sore need of an update; it looked like it was straight out of the 00's.

Introduction

Frontier Lodge is a Christian summer camp in Quebec, Canada. Their website was outdated, and they wanted an online presence that better reflected their summer program. They were also spending hours doing double data entry for camper registration, and wanted an updated, more automated system.

Wireframes

Parents don't send their children off for a week at camp before doing a thorough investigation of the place, which is why packing checklists, activity lists, info about programs and food, and lots of pictures were included. Presenting such a large quantity of information required some careful planning.

Rates

Laying out the rates for camp in a clear and concise manner was especially important. Historically, this information had been confusing and frustrating to track down and remember. A countdown to each week of camp was included to encourage quicker sales.

Dates

The colors used in the calendars matched each corresponding week so that they could be quickly visualised.

Daily Schedule

The schedule at camp is tightly packed.
Each activity is highlighted in orange to break up the information a bit and help with readability.

Registration

Frontier Lodge needed a registration system for staff members and campers alike. Old forms were unreadable and confusing, and the information would need to be copy-pasted from an email into spreadsheet by the client. Payments were made off site on PayPal. Now, payments can be made without leaving the site and the client receives the data directly into a spreadsheet, with payment information being fed directly into their accounting software. This saves them lots of data entry.
